The Mission Of The Club

The Mission of a Toastmaster's club is to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity to develop and practice communication and leadership skills, which in turn foster self-confidence and personal growth.

The “Mission of the Club” describes what you can expect from participating in Toastmasters. Whether you join this club or another, joining Toastmasters is an important first step in improving your speaking skills. We meet from 7:30am to 8:45am on Wednesday mornings at the University of Central Florida Downtown campus. Guests are welcome, so we invite you to join us any Wednesday morning to experience first hand how Toastmasters can help you.

Choosing a club that is the right fit for you is important. What makes Downtown Toastmasters special is the diversity of our club. Downtown Toastmasters offers a true mosaic of talent. Our club membership consists of a wide range of age and experience levels and attracts members from an extensive range of professions. The diversity of talent makes downtown Toastmasters a place where there’s support for every experience level. Mentorship is an important part of the Toastmasters experience and something that should be considered when selecting a club.

For more information about joining Toastmasters, please visit the “Why Join” link listed on the navigation bar in the upper left corner of the site. On behalf of the entire Downtown Toastmasters club membership, I thank you for visiting our site and encourage you to be our guest for a future meeting.

We meet at University of Central Florida building in downtown Orlando at Orange Ave. and Pine Street

For people who are not acquainted with the parking situation, we recommend the following:

  • On Pine Street, parking is avialable just past the UCF building. Between Pine & Central. Prepay at the machine with coins, dollar bills, or credit cards. The UCF building is across the street from the Fire Station.
  • Coming from the south on Huey, one can use the lot under I-4. You can use your credit card, change that you found under your couch cushons, or dollar bills. It does require walking across Garland. Bring your umbrella if you expect rain. For Full Directions Click Here
